CIRC ensures that your Personal Information is collected and used lawfully, properly, and transparently.

CIRC, or ‘Corporate Industrial and Risk Consultants’, is a Company that operates within the boundaries of the Republic of South Africa.

We Treat Personal Information as required by the Protection of Personal Information (PoPI) Act.

We obtain, use, and disclose Personal Information as described in this Notice.

Whether you are an existing client, or are considering a relationship with us, you have an interest in how we collect, use, retain, and secure nonpublic personal information. While information is critical to providing quality service, we recognise that one of our most important assets is our customers’ trust.

Should we change our privacy policy; a revised customer privacy notice will promptly be posted to our web site (circ.co.za). You agree to accept posting of a revised customer privacy notice electronically on the web site as actual notice to you. You should review the customer privacy notice periodically to remain informed of any changes.

Any dispute between you and CIRC is subject to our customer agreement/terms and conditions and our general policies, terms, and procedures governing CIRC customer and other accounts, including where applicable, arbitration of disputes and limitation of damages.


THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

CIRC may collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
  • Information you provide us on account or claim opening documentation, applications, subscriptions, or other forms.
  • Information your employer provides us on account or claim opening documentation, applications, subscriptions, or other forms.
  • Transactions with us, our affiliates, or others.
  • From non-affiliated third parties (e.g. credit reporting agencies, the Compensation Fund, Medical Service providers, Clinics, Hospitals, and others).

We may disclose relevant non-public personal information to The Compensation Fund, to Medical Service providers, Clinics, Hospitals, and any organisation, institution or person required to receive your information in context to your account or claim with us.

If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will continue to adhere to the privacy and practices described in this notice, or subsequent notices, which may amend the policy stated herein.

Nothing in this customer privacy notice is intended to interfere with our ability to transfer all or part of our business and/or assets to an affiliate or non-affiliate third party at any time, for any purpose, without any limitation whatsoever.

We may also disclose your information should we consider it necessary to protect our rights.


How We Protect Your Information

CIRC takes steps to safeguard customer information and restrict access to your personal and account information to only those employees who need to know that information in order for us to provide products or services to you.

To enable us to provide such information, or to act on requests from you to update, correct, or destroy your personal information, we will have to confirm your identity before providing such details of your personal information, or before making any changes to your personal information.

A request to us for a copy of your private information may be subject to a payment to us of a legally allowable fee.
